Visitors to the San Jacinto Battleground can take a self-guided driving tour of the battlefield, hike the marsh trail and enjoy some of the best birding on the Gulf Coast. Visit the 567-foot-tall San Jacinto Monument, step back in time at the San Jacinto Museum, watch Texas Forever!! The Battle of San Jacinto, and ride the elevator to the observation tower, nearly 500 feet above the battlefield.
The San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site is open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., seven days a week, except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. The San Jacinto Museum and Monument is open from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.
